EveryBand vs Bevel: choose the insights you need

Compare EveryBand with Bevel: supported data paths, recovery methods, nutrition and coaching breadth, Health interoperability and availability limits.

Boop is becoming EveryBand. The iPhone app and TestFlight listing still use Boop for now.

Last updated: October 16, 2026

Start with the scope you want

Bevel presents a connected health coach spanning wearable insights, nutrition, training and health records. EveryBand focuses on an independent local iPhone companion with supported direct strap access, optional Apple Health input/export and dedicated wellness, strength and Journal views.

Bevel's broader connected features may be valuable if you want several health routines in one product. EveryBand may suit a different priority: supported strap sync and its particular on-device analysis without an EveryBand account or subscription. Familiar labels such as Recovery do not establish equivalent calculations.

Bevel's homepage is the source for its product breadth. That is not a guarantee that every feature works with every listed device. EveryBand's compatibility page gives its own model-specific boundaries.

Why Recovery numbers can disagree

Bevel's terminology guide describes Recovery using sleep, HRV, overnight resting heart rate and optional physiological context. Its settings can select RMSSD or SDNN. That is a different contract from EveryBand's current required local nightly RMSSD, resting heart rate, Sleep and qualifying prior nights.

EveryBand's documented Health HRV input is SDNN and stays separate from local RMSSD. It cannot substitute for the required nightly value. Apple Watch records can therefore support useful views while EveryBand Recovery remains unavailable. Compare source labels and recording windows before comparing numbers; a higher score in either app does not prove greater accuracy or safer training.

Our HRV explanation and Recovery method describe the current rules, including missing data. Buying Full changes access to views, not the measurements a source supplies.

Using Apple Health alongside both apps

EveryBand does not send records directly to Bevel. When you enable a supported EveryBand Health export, another app can read eligible Health categories only if you authorize that app separately. Each app then applies its own source selection, supported categories and calculations.

Apple's source-management guide explains how to inspect contributions and permissions. A Health record is not a promise that Bevel will use it for a particular score, or that either app will duplicate the other's result. Avoid exporting/importing a record merely to force a preferred number.

Who each app suits

Consider Bevel if its connected coaching, nutrition and broader health features are central to your routine. Review the current app offering and its own service disclosures before choosing; this page does not assert a Bevel price or a blanket offline/privacy limitation.

Consider EveryBand if supported direct strap access, local processing and the optional one-time Full model match your needs. Check TestFlight for available builds and requirements. The native name remains Boop, App Store release is pending, and free beta purchase transactions do not transfer to App Store ownership. If a Watch-only Recovery score is essential, read our Watch guide before adopting the beta.
