Use Strength and Journal to understand your recorded patterns

Log completed training and consistent Journal answers, read progression carefully, and understand why a habit association does not prove cause.

Boop is becoming EveryBand. The iPhone app and TestFlight listing still use Boop for now.

Record what happened before interpreting it

Strength and Journal help you review your own recorded training and habits alongside available wellness data. The useful starting point is a consistent record: which sets you completed, what load and repetitions you entered, and which Journal questions you actually answered.

These records do not establish that a habit caused a change in Recovery, or that the app measured the physiological cost of a lifting session. EveryBand's calculations depend on the completeness and quality of their inputs. Check pricing for the current Boop Full feature scope and TestFlight purchase distinction.

Keep completed sets accurate

Use Strength for completed repetitions, load, duration and rest, as supported by your installed build. Review a prefilled or planned set before treating it as work you performed. Consistent units and exercise selection make later comparisons easier to interpret.

A progression view can compare the entries you recorded. If the load, range of motion, assistance or exercise variation changed, the same displayed total may represent a different session. Keep that context in your Journal rather than forcing different movements into one supposedly precise comparison.

Incorrect entries should be corrected at the record level. A polished chart cannot recover details that were never logged.

Read estimates as estimates

Estimated one-repetition maximum is calculated from a logged set. It is not evidence that you performed that maximum or a recommendation to attempt it. Recorded external-load volume also has different meaning from bodyweight or assisted work.

The current experimental strength physiology models are not validated measurements of muscular strain. Logging a heavy session does not prove the app quantified every tissue's load or that its next-day estimate establishes readiness to lift again.

Use the methodology to understand which outputs summarize a log and which involve a model. Numerical precision should not be confused with measurement certainty.

Answer Journal questions consistently

A missing answer and an explicit no answer carry different information. Answer honestly and consistently across ordinary days as well as unusual ones. If you only complete Journal after poor sleep, the record overrepresents those nights.

Keep changes in routine in mind: travel, illness, a changed schedule or a different data source can overlap with the habit you are reviewing. Several factors may move together. An association between an answer and a score cannot isolate the cause by itself.

There is no need to manufacture answers to produce an insight. An incomplete history should remain incomplete.

Give comparisons enough evidence

Journal uses coverage, comparison-group and time-span requirements before presenting qualified numerical associations. Opening an early comparison view is not the same as having enough evidence for a numerical effect. Missing outcomes, uneven answers or too little variation can prevent a useful estimate.

Read an association as a pattern in the available record, with uncertainty. Do not turn it into a promise that one choice will raise a future score by a fixed amount. Keep your own experience and any relevant professional advice in view.

Keep the record private and useful

Strength and Journal records are processed locally under EveryBand's native privacy model. You control optional Health permissions and any files you choose to share. Use support to describe a problem without sending personal logs or biometric exports.

The installed labels remain Boop, Boop Full and Ask Boop during the EveryBand transition. EveryBand is experimental wellness software, not a medical device; its logs and estimates must not be used for diagnosis or treatment.
