Choose your EveryBand data source with the output in mind

Compare direct strap records, optional Apple Health input and combined use, with clear limits on coverage, HRV methods and background freshness.

Boop is becoming EveryBand. The iPhone app and TestFlight listing still use Boop for now.

Begin with the question you want to answer

Choose a source by the records it can supply and the output you want to understand. A device name alone does not establish enough coverage for Sleep, Recovery or Strain. EveryBand can show a measurement while a related score remains unavailable.

Check compatibility and your available TestFlight build before setting up a device. EveryBand is the website brand; the installed app remains Boop during the transition. Device support, data availability and a completed daily estimate are separate things to check.

Direct straps provide the local Bluetooth path

EveryBand connects directly to WHOOP 4.0, WHOOP 5.0 and WHOOP MG, subject to model and firmware limits. It imports supported observations and history to your iPhone and derives its own wellness estimates when sufficient inputs pass the relevant checks.

Choose this route when direct strap sync and the available local observations fit your needs. Keep Bluetooth enabled and the strap within range during setup. An unsupported history format or unvalidated channel remains unavailable; the app does not invent a replacement reading.

Read the history-offload acknowledgement carefully. After saving and acknowledging history, EveryBand may trim it from the strap, which can affect the official app's ability to retrieve those records.

Apple Health adds recorded context

Apple Health is an optional input and export destination. It can provide records written by an Apple Watch or other permitted sources, with or without a connected strap. Choose only the categories you want Boop to read.

The originating device or app decides which categories it writes and when. EveryBand reads those saved records. It has no native watchOS app or continuous live Watch feed. A source that exports sleep does not necessarily export HRV, respiratory rate or every workout detail.

Before relying on another wearable's Health connection, inspect the actual categories and timestamps available on your phone.

Combining sources does not make every metric interchangeable

EveryBand resolves available evidence per metric; local evidence takes priority where its current rules apply. Wearing two devices does not mean their observations are simply added together or that gaps disappear.

Health SDNN and local nightly RMSSD retain different meanings. Current Full Recovery needs local nightly RMSSD, resting heart rate and Sleep, with sufficient complete prior nights. Health-only use can therefore display HRV and sleep while Recovery stays unavailable.

Keep the source and method in mind when comparing days. Switching a device or measurement pathway can change a series without establishing a change in your physiology.

Check the completed day before changing your setup

Review the recorded time, available coverage and input labels. A connection indicator says something about a connection; it does not certify a complete night or guaranteed background import.

For delayed data, use the Health sync checks or strap setup instructions. Initial imports are easiest to inspect with Boop open. iOS scheduling, protected data and Bluetooth range affect when records become available.

EveryBand processes available health data on your iPhone without an EveryBand health-data server. Optional Health synchronization, device backup and files you choose to share follow their own settings. EveryBand is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple or WHOOP. It is not a medical device and must not guide diagnosis or treatment.
